About Grizz Contracting
There's a Better Way to Build
We’re a team of real people who take our work seriously, but don't take ourselves too seriously. Structured, organized, and built around real relationships in Quesnel, BC, and far beyond.
Our Story
How We Got Started
Grizz Contracting was started in 2021 with a straightforward idea: construction doesn't have to be a headache. It shouldn't mean chasing down your contractor, wondering what things actually cost, or feeling like you're speaking a different language.
We work with local businesses, First Nations communities, government organizations, and property owners across the region. We bring solid systems, tight safety standards, and clear communication without the stiff corporate act. At the end of the day, we want to be the team you actually enjoy working with and the crew you call back for the next job.
"At the end of the day, people remember how you made them feel. That's why we'll always choose quality, honesty, and relationships over shortcuts."
— Ernesto, OWNER

"We live and work in these communities, so we have to stand by everything we build. We don't cut corners, we don't do surprise bills, and we treat every client's property like our own."
— Ernesto, OWNER
Our Values
GRIZZ COMPANY VALUES
We Have Fun (and We Mean It)
We laugh, joke, and enjoy being around each other. We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. Fun isn’t a distraction here — it’s part of how we do great work and why people want to stay.
People Come First — Always
People aren’t a “resource” here. They’re the reason we exist. We care about our team, our clients, and our partners as humans, not line items. We build long-term relationships and bring others up with us when we win.
We’re Here to Help People Grow
Our job is to level people up. We invest in training, coaching, and real hands-on learning. If you work here, you should feel more capable, confident, and valuable over time — that’s not optional.
We Act Like Professionals (Without Being Stiff)
We show up when we say we will, answer the phone, communicate clearly, and take pride in our work. Clean sites, clean trucks, high standards. Professional doesn’t mean boring — it means reliable.
ROOTED IN OUR COMMUNITIES
We Believe Every Single Community We Work In Should Benefit From Us Being There
Putting Tools To Work Locally
From donating time and materials to prep baseball fields for local tournaments to fixing community facilities, we use our crew, gear, and trades expertise to build up and repair the places where people actually gather.
Honored First Nations Partnerships
Building real relationships means listening and showing up. We’ve been honored to participate in traditional sweats, and we're actively helping build a sweat lodge and supporting facilities.
Supporting Kids And Sports
Whether handing out popcorn and Lego at housing fairs, sponsoring youth sports teams and mountain bike events, or backing concerts like Snotty Nose Rez Kids, we love supporting the local events that bring our families together.
Investing In Local Economies
We invest directly in our regional communities by creating local job opportunities, supporting grassroots initiatives, and making a point to shop local and support the small businesses that keep our towns and northern communities running strong.

Good Work Means Leaving the Community Better Than We Found It
We believe the places where we work should actually benefit from us being there. That means hiring local trades, shopping local, partnering closely with First Nations communities, and showing up when someone needs a hand. We aren't here to do one job, pack up, and disappear.
First Nations Partnerships
Built on respect, clear communication, and shared priorities. We work collaboratively on community projects, housing repairs, and facility upgrades designed for long-term use.
A Collaborative Approach
No games, no ego, and no hidden fees. We keep you in the loop with weekly progress reports and honest conversations so everyone is working toward the same goal.
Built for the Long Haul
A project shouldn't end the second the last invoice is paid. We build relationships that last, standing behind our work long after the job site is cleared.
Showing Up Locally
We’re committed to supporting the communities where we live, work, and play. From sponsoring local sports teams and school events to supporting cultural celebrations, community initiatives, and recreational programs, we’re proud to invest in the people and places that make our communities stronger.
